Maintaining Professionalism in Law Enforcement
The Sinton Police Department aims to maintain public trust in its efforts and we remain responsive to feedback, including complaints and allegations of racial profiling. Policing is challenging, and our actions may be scrutinized during difficult situations. Police officers face difficult, inhumane situations that test human boundaries, so we regularly evaluate our staff for quality and training.
We can’t improve in areas of concern we’re unaware of, and we welcome your feedback. Further, compliments motivate staff and acknowledge our hard work. After all, as a public service organization, we’re accountable to you, and we strive to provide a reproachable service.
Share your feedback by phone at (361) 364-4400 or in person at 217 E Market, Sinton, Texas. Please route immediate, after-hours concerns through police dispatch at (361) 364-2211.
To file a formal complaint, download the Formal Complaint Form, complete it, and either hand deliver it or email it to the Chief at informthechief@sintontx.gov.
Complaints are usually accepted within 90 days of the incident, unless there are extenuating circumstances. It must be in writing and notarized. The Chief of Police oversees all complaints. All complaints are investigated, and you will receive a written notification of the final disposition.
