2024 Annual Quality Report for the City of Sinton
GLO (General Land Office) grant to create a new comprehensive plan focused on resiliency.
The City of Sinton is pleased to announce the development of a new Resilient Comprehensive Plan to guide the city's growth and development over the next 10-20 years. The plan will focus on strategies to make Sinton more sustainable, equitable, and resilient to future challenges.
"We are excited to begin creating a bold new vision for Sinton’s future," said City Manager, John Hobson. "This plan will focus on enhancing our economic prosperity, improving infrastructure, preserving our natural resources, and strengthening the health, safety, and quality of life for all our residents."
The plan will address topics such as land use, housing, economic development, parks and recreation, arts and culture, sustainability, and resilience. It will build on existing city initiatives related to area revitalization, bike and pedestrian improvements, stormwater management, and more. The process will also assess demographic trends, market conditions, climate risks, and other factors that will shape Sinton’s trajectory.
Sinton has contracted with Langford Community Management Services, Inc. to assist with the development of the comprehensive plan. The project is expected to take 18-24 months to complete.
