The Sinton Volunteer Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants starting at 9am on February 13, 2016 and February 20, 2016. On February 13, 2016, all fire hydrants on the East Side of the Missouri Pacific Railroad will be flushed and on February 20, 2016, all fire hydrants on the West Side of the Missouri Pacific Railroad will be flushed. There will be a brownish discoloration to the water and low water pressure due to the flushing of the hydrants which will last for about 10 to 20 minutes. The fire department has to flush all fire hydrants semi-annually by state law. Please let your friends and neighbors know that the Fire Department will be flushing hydrants in February.
